So 247 out of 599 or forty-one percent of deaths are of patients in these facilities.
How does that compare to the percentage of Massachusetts residents in a long-term care facility?
This "big lie" is right on the front page of this site:
New York was 25% of deaths in residential nursing homes, now we have a state with 41%! New York is 5,000% over-represented with regards to the population with these folks -- how bad is M*******? 7,000, even 8,000%? What the ****?
Folks, as I said before we do not have a coronavirus pandemic in this country in the general population. Yes, it's killing people, but on a grossly exaggerated basis it's killing people in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
******nit, lock those places in now. Those who are employed to work there stay on site and nobody goes in or out until and unless they're proved to be seropositive and thus cannot transmit the bug to anyone inside.
That is what I mean by going after VECTORS. Lockdowns of the general population are 100% ineffective at stopping this because the employees, who are "critical employees", still go to the damn grocery store, the gas station and similar. They don't get seriously sick but the people in the nursing home are killed by this thing.
The only way to stop this is to stop the vectors, as was the case with AIDS and was ignored by the government in the early 1980s. If you don't then this will continue until all the people in the nursing homes either get it and are immune or are dead.
