Campertrucks at Motorcraft

I was walking through the Industrial Estate at Harwood on Thursday, and saw this sign high up on the side of a big warehousing unit. Ooooh, look, there's a big truck, wonder what that is all about. It was a corner plot at a junction, and as I turned round the corner I had a look through the fence and spotted a yard full of all kinds of vehicles. Some of them big trucks, and some smaller trucks. Some were completed with new bodies on them, some just chassis cabs waiting to be rebuilt.
Oooh, I was in my element, I must get some photo's of these. I entered the yard through big open gates, and couldn't see anyone to ask permission. The building looked new and I couldn't find any way into it. No signs on the doors. Eventually I tried a door and it led me into a big open plan office where I found several people working on computers.
I explained why I was there, ex lorry driver and a truck enthusiast, and could I take some photos. Permission was granted. One staff member went over to the printer and printed off four big photographs and handed them to me. I was chuffed. It was suggested that I could have a look around the workshops to see the campers being assembled. Sadly they didn't have time to show me.
Look at this beauty. I wish I could take a look inside.
Imagine having to climb a ladder to get inside the camper.
They use all makes of second hand vehicles to convert them into campers.

Here are the photo's they gave me.
As you can see they are no ordinary campers that you might see on a camp site here. Check out their web site for more photo's
This is how Motorcraft started.
Ian Parkin-Coates is the sole driving force behind Motorcraft. As a professional motorcycle racer in the mid-nineties, Ian struggled to source a race transport that lived up to his needs. When the season ended, Ian decided to build a transporter for him and his bikes. The following season Ian turned up to the race meets to be greeted with an overwhelming interest in his vehicle.
